An Insight into your bespoke luxury sugar flower wedding cake

Choosing a style

Help with finding your luxury wedding cake can be a challenge! Using other platforms such as Pinterest and Instagram should give you a good starting point. Create a board or collection of cakes that catch your eye. Look for common themes, colours, and styles.

Wedding Magazines and Blogs:

Browse through recent issues and posts to see trending designs and timeless classics.

My wedding cake style is elegance; I love to work with intricate details which resemble realistic looking flowers and edible art which elevates luxury and a wow factor that will stand tall. My wedding cakes embody pure elegance, featuring meticulously crafted details that mimic lifelike flowers and exquisite edible art. I work with sugar flowers, wafer paper, rice paper, and edible paints, ensuring that every element of my cakes is entirely edible (some elements are non-edible, such as the florists’ wires that hold the edible pieces). Each creation is a luxurious masterpiece designed to captivate and impress, standing tall as a breathtaking focal point of any celebration.

Consider your Luxury wedding cake theme

Seasonal Themes: A winter wedding might inspire a cake with frosty blues and silvers, while a summer wedding could feature bright, floral designs.

Venue Style: A rustic barn might suit a naked cake with fresh fruit, whereas a grand ballroom could call for an elegant, multi-tiered cake with intricate details.

Design and Decoration

Classic and Elegant: Smooth fondant finishes, sugar flowers and intricate detailing.

Modern and Minimalist: Clean lines, geometric patterns, and simple textures.

Rustic and Natural: Naked or semi-naked cakes, fresh flowers, and greenery.

Whimsical and Fun: Bright colors, unique shapes, and playful toppers.(My speciality cakes are the classic and elegant and the modern minimalist wedding cakes).

Cultural Traditions

Incorporate elements that reflect your cultural heritage or family traditions. This could be specific colours, patterns, or even flavours that are significant to your background.

Match Your Colour theme

Use your wedding colours as a guide for your cake’s design. Whether it’s soft pastels or bold hues, ensure the cake complements your overall colour scheme.

Think About Your Guest Count:

The size of the cake should reflect the number of guests. A large wedding might need a five-tiered cake, while a smaller, intimate gathering might only require a two or three-tiered cake.

Flavour and Filling:

Choose flavours that you and your partner love but also consider your guests’ tastes. Offering a variety of flavours in different tiers can cater to a broader audience.

Favourite flavours include vanilla, chocolate, lemon, passion fruit, cinnamon, salted caramel, raspberry and coconut and lime and coconut. (I am happy to try new flavours). I use fillings such as buttercream, ganache, home made salted caramel and fruit curds.
